Newlywed Colin Jost showed off some new hardware on this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.”
During Saturday’s installment of “Weekend Update,” Jost, 38, debuted a gold wedding ring on his left hand, days after he and Scarlett Johansson, 35, tied the knot. Jost’s co-host, Michael Che, referenced the event while discussing the lead-up to Tuesday’s presidential election.
“You just married Scarlett Johansson and I just bought an electric bike. We’re both doing equally great,” Che quipped.
On Thursday, Meals on Wheels America announced that Jost and Johannson had wed in an intimate ceremony in late October.
“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the organization posted to Instagram.
Meals on Wheels America also noted how the couple wanted to help others amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica,” the message continued.
Jost and Johansson confirmed their engagement in May 2019 after two years together. They were first linked at an “SNL” afterparty in the spring of 2017.
This is Jost’s first marriage and Johansson’s third. The “Avengers” actress was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008-2010, and French journalist Romain Dauriac from 2014-2017. They share one daughter, Rose, 6.
