The “Real Housewives of New York” may finally start to reflect the diversity of the city.
Motivational speaker Bershan Shaw is rumored to be the next woman to hold an apple when “RHONY” returns for Season 13, TMZ reported on Friday.
A source close to production told Page Six that Shaw has filmed with “some of the cast, but nothing is official yet.”
Newbie Leah McSweeney previously advocated for more diversity for the show — as the cast has never featured a black woman.
“I hope that there’s not only diversity of race, but an even deeper diversity of where someone lives or what their interests are,” McSweeney told us in August. “I hope that there’s just more diversity all across the board because New Yorkers are not a monolith, obviously. I think that it is gonna head in that direction.”
While the rest of the cast is unconfirmed, Dorinda Medley was let go from the franchise in August.
