Sharon Stone is still a sex symbol at 62.

“People still want to see my boobs,” the “Basic Instinct” actress recently told Town & Country. “I’m 62! It’s like, ‘Really? Grow up!’”

She then reportedly threw up her arms and joked, “But also … Here’s some boobs!”

Stone then reflected on why she thinks the public finds her so appealing.

“I mean, I never thought I was that sexy,” she said, but added,  “When I did ‘Basic Instinct,’ I explored my dark side and made friends with my dark side. I got to not be afraid of my own self. I think people find that sexy.”

And for good or for bad, she said that it’s hard to shake being a sex symbol no matter how many serious roles she takes on.

“It’s difficult, because everybody expects you to be that all the time,” she told the mag. “It was very difficult for Marilyn Monroe. She did movies that really mattered, like ‘Bus Stop,’ ‘The Misfits,’ but she still couldn’t get completely out of being that thing. It’s very hard to shake.”

Stone, who is starring in Netflix’s upcoming Ryan Murphy series “Ratched” alongside Sarah Paulson, has been busy in quarantine. In June, she posted a video teaching viewers how to create a safe room amid the ongoing protests. In August, it was announced she’s working on a memoir, which is set to be released in March 2021.
