Miley Cyrus’ new era is both glamorous and dangerous.

The “Slide Away” singer, 27, chopped her hair in a chic mullet earlier this year, and has since been channeling Joan Jett and Billy Idol with statement-making bright eyeshadow and bold lipsticks.

To accompany her decidedly ’80s glam-rock aesthetic, Cyrus has worn a parade of sexy and sparkly dresses for a few recent performances, including at the 2020 VMAs — and her latest is no different.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday to perform “Midnight Sky,” Miley wore a custom black sequin dress by Cong Tri that featured glittering silver ties along the side to hold the cutouts together in all the right places.

While Cyrus’ new aesthetic is clearly influenced by old-school rockers, her latest sound draws from the same era; she even got Stevie Nicks’ blessing to include a sample from “Edge of Seventeen” in the song.

“I said, ‘I have an alternate melody if you don’t want to kind of like pay tribute to you and your greatness and how much you’ve inspired me,’” Cyrus told Fallon on the show. “And she said, ‘you can borrow from me anytime.”

She later changed into a red sparkling mini dress for a cover of Hall & Oates’ “Maneater,” while her band remained socially distanced and sported face masks printed with the singer’s signature stuck-out tongue.
