Derek Hough is heading back to the ballroom.

On Tuesday, the former “Dancing with the Stars” pro, 35, announced his return to the ABC competition series, but this time, as a judge.

“This show has been and will always be incredibly special to me,” Hough said in a statement, according to “Good Morning America.” “Coming back feels like home and I couldn’t be more excited to be back in the ballroom.”

Hough, who has hoisted the mirrorball trophy a record-setting six times, will be dolling out the scores on Season 29 with fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Hough will replace fellow judge Len Goodman, who remains in the UK amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Goodman will be part of the show, however.

Hough’s sister, Julianne Hough, previously served as a judge from Seasons 19-24.

Hough isn’t the only newbie joining the cast this year. Tyra Banks was named the new host of “Dancing with the Stars” in July, replacing series vets Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

“Tiger King” personality Carole Baskin and “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause are among this seasons’ celeb contenders, in addition to Kaitlyn Bristowe of “The Bachelorette,” and NFL star Vernon Davis.

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” premieres Monday, Sept. 14.
