Tom Hanks’ son, who rapped under the name Chet Haze, posted a video on Instagram Tuesday to try and capture the singer’s attention after she went viral for posting a Notting Hill Carnival-inspired photo that showed her wearing a Jamaican flag bikini while styling her hair in Bantu knots.
While many have slammed the “Hello” songstress for cultural appropriation, Chet, 30, decided to try and grab her attention.
After blasting and singing along to her song “Set Fire to the Rain,” a Patois-speaking Chet encourages 32-year-old Adele to slide into his DMs.
“PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ADELE HIT MY LINE ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!” he captioned the video. “I NEED TO TALK TO HER ABOUT SOMETHING 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲”
Adele has yet to respond publicly to his attempt at love.
The rapper went viral at the 2020 Golden Globes when he first debuted his Patois accent.
