Amy Schumer won’t carry any more children after giving birth to son Gene.

The “Expecting Amy” star, 39, says on this week’s “Sunday Today With Willie Geist” (via People) that she won’t go through IVF again because of how difficult it was for her and husband Chris Fischer earlier this year.

“We did IVF and IVF was really tough on me,” she says. “I don’t think I could ever do IVF again.”

The couple, who are thinking about expanding their family beyond their one son, are looking into other options.

“I decided that I can’t be pregnant ever again,” she says. “We thought about a surrogate, but I think we’re going to hold off for right now.”

Until they make any firm decisions, they’re just enjoying their time with their 1-year-old son.

“Life is so much more beautiful,” she says of becoming a mom. “He’s the best thing in my life.”

In January, Schumer posted a photo of her bruised stomach and revealed the toll it was taking on her, physically and emotionally.

“I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional. If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do,” she wrote. “My number is in my bio. We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling. ❤️”
