Hours after fans expressed concern over troubling posts on Azealia Banks’ Instagram story, the rapper said Sunday that she is “better than I was before.”

“I’m fine, better than I was before,” the 29-year-old rapper captioned a selfie.

In multiple follow-up videos, Banks chastised followers over the authenticity of their worries, titling one clip, “What is this obsession u bitches have with my despair?”

“Show me love when I’m up bitch, not just when I’m down,” she captioned another video.

She also called out media outlets in a separate post.

Over the weekend, a series of disturbing messages were shared on Banks’ Instagram story, with one reading: “This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with the constant public ridicule is making life harder than its worth.

“I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon,” the message concluded.

In response to the posts, fans of Banks tweeted their concern over her wellbeing.

“This worries me so much. I hope someone close to Azealia reaches out to make sure she’s doing okay. She’s such a powerful human being and a lovely artist and I just want to see her thrive and be happy❤️ I wish I could hug her right now,” one tweeted.

“Azealia banks, you are worth it. you are enough. and you are talented. dont allow this pandemic or lack of social interaction put you in a depressed state. you are loved and cherished. dont do anything irrational. i love you,” another penned.
