Even a voicemail would’ve been better.

Chrishell Stause drops a breakup bombshell in the new season of “Selling Sunset,” claiming ex Justin Hartley told her about their divorce via text.

“Um, I found out because he text[ed] me that we filed,” Stause, 39, told her co-star Mary Fitzgerald in a clip from Season 3.

She added, with tears in her eyes, “Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.”

Hartley, who stars on “This Is Us,” filed for divorce from Stause in November, listing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. But the 43-year-old actor’s move blindsided Stause, she said.

Stause explained in a confessional that she can’t provide fans with any other details of their split because she’s still unsure why they broke up for good.

“Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f–king want answers,” she said.

She added to Fitzgerald, “I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it’s like, we were together for six years … in a fight, that’s his go-to, you know? Like, ‘I’m out, I’m out.’ I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought, you know, that’s just an issue that we work through it.”

Stause added that she did not think Hartley was going to file the paperwork the way that he did.

“If that’s really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about [it],” she said. “I talked to him right after cause I thought that must be a joke, but that was kind of the end of the communication. What am I supposed to say? What do you say after that? It’s like, now I have to find a place to live. Now I have to scramble and figure this out, you know?”

The real estate agent previously said that having divorce play out in the public has been “traumatizing” for her.

“It’s an embarrassing, humiliating type of thing to go through without cameras and without people judging you, so I just hope people are gentle when they watch,” she said in an interview this July. “We’re real people. This was a traumatizing time in my life and it’s going to be hard for me to watch it myself.”

A rep for Hartley didn’t immediately return our request for comment.
