Elton John’s ex-wife is suing the music icon for dishing on their ill-fated marriage.

Renate Blauel, 67, claims that she and John had an agreement that they’d never publicly discuss their marriage — which she says the singer breached in his bestselling memoir, “Me: Elton John,” and the recent biopic “Rocketman,” according to MailOnline.

“The case is about restoring the privacy that she felt was agreed to be protected when she and Mr. John entered into a divorce in 1988. This was the only option she had left,” her lawyer, Yisrael Hiller, told the publication. ” … She wants to ensure her privacy going forward, that in turn has a big impact on her mental health issues.”

She is reportedly seeking £3million ($3.8 million) from the pop star.

Legal documents claim Blauel was so desperate to escape the attention she’d gained from her relationship with John that she’d been living in the UK under a different name.

Renewed interest in Blauel arose from her portrayal by Celinde Schoenmaker in the 2019 film “Rocketman.” John has been married to David Furnish since 2014.

“Renate is particularly upset by the film,” her attorney said, adding: “In her mind, the film seeks to portray their marriage as a sham, which she wholeheartedly disputes and considers a false and disrespectful portrayal of their time together.”

Blauel met John, 73, while he was recording his “Too Low for Zero” album in 1983. The next year she accompanied him when he toured Australia and while there he proposed. The wedding took place just three days later on Valentine’s Day.

John’s rep didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
