On Thursday, the 27-year-old pop star announced she’s engaged to actor Max Ehrich, posting a series of Instagram photos showing off her giant engagement ring alongside her new fiancé while dressed in an appropriately bridal-looking number by celebrity favorite Retrofete.
Lovato’s white mini, dubbed the “Flynn” dress, originally retailed for $470 but is currently on sale for 40 percent off, at $282. A nod to ’80s style, it features structured padded shoulders, a loose, draped bodice and a ruched, fitted skirt — making it a particularly sophisticated pick for the star’s beachy engagement photoshoot.
“I knew I loved you the moment I met you,” Lovato captioned her photos with 29-year-old Ehrich. “I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all.”
The post quickly amassed over 6.5 million likes, along with congratulatory comments from stars including Reese Witherspoon, Avril Lavigne, Khloé Kardashian, Lewis Hamilton, Olivia Culpo and many more.
