Kim Kardashian likely won’t divorce Kanye West anytime soon because of the optics.
“Now is not the right time for divorce,” a source told Page Six Wednesday. “They’re smart enough to know it’s not a good look.
“She’ll put on a show of trying to support him, then a divorce can happen later.”
Rumors of divorce have been swirling since West, 43, claimed he wanted to abort daughter North West during his first campaign rally for his supposed run for president in North Charleston, SC. Days later, West launched into a series of tirades on Twitter, with one claiming his 39-year-old wife tried to “lock me up.”
In a separate tweetstorm, West alleged he’s been trying to divorce Kardashian for two years. He also referred to Kris Jenner, his mother-in-law, as “Kris Jong-Un.”
West since has deleted his tweets. Kardashian addressed her husband’s breakdown on Wednesday to defend him and fight against the stigmas of mental health.
A rep for the couple didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Insiders previously told Page Six that West’s outbursts are the result of a “terrible” bipolar episode. The rapper-turned-designer first revealed his bipolar disorder in 2019 and said that when he goes through his episodes he becomes “hyper-paranoid about everything.”
“You have this moment [when] you feel everyone wants to kill you,” he said. “You pretty much don’t trust anyone.”
