New York society is abuzz that fallen Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal may have scored a new gig — helping David Koch’s widow “find a new husband.”

Siegal was brought down last year after the New York Times claimed that she had helped Jeffrey Epstein rejoin polite society after he was released from prison in 2010 — forcing her major studio clients to drop her as their go-to soiree host and Academy whisperer.

Now we’re told that the word on Park Avenue is that her longtime pal Julia Koch is helping her out by giving her the eccentric assignment.

Said a social source: “Frankly, Julia doesn’t need the help. She’s the most charming, beautiful woman. Everyone who meets Julia falls in love with her.” (No doubt adding to her appeal: Julia became one of the world’s richest women after megabillionaire David died last year.)

But, the source added, “I’m sure she feels for Peggy and wants to help get her back on her feet.”

Asked for comment, a rep for Julia denied that she’s hired Siegal. Siegal also denied it.

Siegal and the Kochs go back many years. The couple were frequent guests at the exclusive star-studded parties that Siegal threw, and she’s even hosted fêtes at the Kochs’ Park Avenue pad.

It wouldn’t be the first time that the couple and Siegal exchanged helping hands. In a Vanity Fair story published in January about the Siegal scandal, a source credited her with David’s “social reinvention.”

Meanwhile, in 2014, Siegal told the press that she had been staying at the Koch home in the Hamptons the night she got into a car wreck.

Last July, Variety reported that studios including Netflix, FX and Annapurna Pictures cut ties with Siegal after the Times and the Hollywood Reporter claimed that she “used her connections to get multimillionaire and accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein into splashy premieres and parties.”
