The “Law & Order” writer fired for threatening protestors with a gun wants a second chance, he tells Page Six — to work on an episode about the death of George Floyd.
Creator Dick Wolf axed Craig Gore last week after Gore — an LA writer who was working on an upcoming spinoff of the cop show — posted a picture of himself with a rifle on Facebook with the caption, “You think I won’t light motherf–kers up who are trying to f–k with my property … Think again.”
“I am ashamed with all the negative attention that led to the show, my friends and family,” Gore told us. And since a “Law & Order” producer told the Hollywood Reporter that the show will tackle police brutality and Floyd’s death on-air, we asked Gore if he’d like to work on the episode.
He told us, “I would love to get the opportunity to work on ‘Law & Order,’ as far as writing in the studio.” He added, “If I could help in any way, of course I would, but I don’t have that relationship with Dick Wolf right now.”
He also said that if he got a chance to speak with Wolf or “Law & Order: SVU” star Ice-T — who praised Wolf for firing Gore — he would apologize to them.
