Filming the first “Twilight” movie sounds like it was bloody awful for Anna Kendrick.

Reflecting on her career with Vanity Fair, the 34-year-old actress — who played high schooler Jessica Stanley in the five-part vampire franchise — likened the Portland, Oregon, shoot to surviving a “hostage situation.”

“I just remember being so cold and miserable, and I just remember my Converse being completely soaked through, and feeling like, ‘You know, this is a really great group of people, and I’m sure that we would be friends in a different time, but I want to murder everyone,’” Kendrick said.

She continued, laughing: “Although it was also kind of bonding. There was something about it, that was like, you go through some trauma event. Like, you imagine people who survive a hostage situation, and you’re kind of bonded for life.”

Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the first “Twilight” movie starred Kristen Stewart as high school student Bella Swan and Robert Pattinson as her immortal lover Edward Cullen. The film sensation was released in 2008 and grossed $408 million at the box office worldwide.

Kendrick said the cast “all got to know each other a little bit better” when filming the 2009 sequel, “New Moon.” She also joked about Jessica’s final appearance in the fourth film, “Breaking Dawn: Part 1,” which was released in 2011.

“It was just a wedding scene, where again I’m like, ‘These people are so weird,’ and you’re in half-frozen mud, in what was the final scene of filming for everybody,” Kendrick said. “I get to come in and work for a week or two, and everyone else has been giving their blood, sweat, and tears to the project for months, I show up at the end and I’m like, ‘Guys, we did it, it’s over.’”

She currently stars in the HBO Max series “Love Life.”
