Last week we exclusively reported that sceney private club, Soho House, is planning to open a new location in the sleepy Upstate town of Rhinebeck, New York. Now we’re told that the club — which currently has spots in the Meatpacking District, London and a rural outpost know as Soho Farmhouse in England’s Cotswolds — has picked out a property.

Idyllic insiders say that the club’s trying to make a deal to buy Grasmere Farm, where Chelsea Clinton had her rehearsal dinner before her wedding back in 2010. The property, which is about five minutes outside of Rhinebeck, has an elegant Colonial Revival manor house and a stunning stone barn. The property appears to be uninhabited currently, though the barn is used for weddings.

According to a plaque at the farm, it was established in 1775 by General Richard Montgomery, an Irish solider who became a general in the Continental Army during the American revolution.

We’re told that the club’s been working on a deal on the place for nearly two years, and that still “nothing is set in stone.”

Sources told Page Six that the Rhinebeck location would be modeled on Soho Farmhouse, which boasts a spa, cabins, a cinema and various dining options including a barn for “farm feasts.”

Rhinebeck is already a fave with celebs including Paul Rudd, who owns a local sweet shop.
