Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds can finally agree on one thing in their divorce battle — they want it to stay private.

The former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star, 35, and the former MLB star, 49, are currently at odds over the validity of their prenuptial agreement, an insider told Page Six on Friday, with Meghan contesting the terms she agreed to before their October 2014 wedding.

She first revealed that she signed the agreement during the “RHOC” Season 10 reunion, telling her costars as Jim sat next to her, “Like way before we ever got engaged, I suggested him getting a prenup to protect his feelings about our marriage, about where my heart is coming from. And honestly, a big part of the reason, totally aside from the whole marriage thing, why I wanted it is to protect the children because I never wanted the children’s mothers or the children to think that me as their stepmom or as this new person in their life was going to take things from them.”

Jim noted that “everyone was on board” with the agreement as her co-stars smiled and agreed with the couple.

Now, we’re told that although Meghan’s feelings towards the agreement may have changed, Jim’s feelings have not.

“Jim’s prenuptial agreement is valid, enforceable and generous for a five-year marriage, and we fully expect it to be upheld,” his rep, Steve Honig, told Page Six on Friday. “Jim is voluntarily paying Meghan more than three times the amount of child support required by court guidelines. He has been beyond generous to Meghan and provides full financial support for his children.”

When reached for comment, Meghan told us, “Jim’s rep was previously quoted in January as saying Jim has ‘no interest in playing this out in the media.’ I think that’s very important to circle back to, because that’s where I stand, too. We’ve navigated this in and out of the media over the past few months but at this point, I’m in a really good spot and I just want to move on. The public should turn their attention to more important world events, not our private ones.”

Jim’s camp is in agreement with Meghan.

“Meghan has spent the better part of the past six months airing everyone’s dirty laundry in public,” Honig told us. “She has publicly discussed hers and Jim’s sex life, complained about not getting enough child support, accused Jim of indiscretions, publicly humiliated Jim’s girlfriend, discussed Jim’s vasectomy, talked about what she is going to do with their frozen embryos and pretty much discussed every single aspect of her marriage and divorce on her podcast, social media and in the press. She continually speaks to reporters as an anonymous ‘insider’ and has done whatever she can to get attention for herself and cause harm to Jim with no regard or respect for anything or anyone. I am absolutely thrilled Meghan finally realizes that I was right all along and there is no benefit to playing this out in public. All of us eagerly await and look forward to Meghan’s newfound commitment to silence.”

The former couple has been involved in a bitter divorce and custody war over their daughter Aspen, 3, and sons Hayes, 2, and Hart, 2, since October when Meghan accused Jim of having an affair with their children’s nanny. He was previously caught in a sexting scandal. Jim admitted to wrongdoing with his texting but adamantly denied having an affair.

Their feud recently heated up as the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe, with Jim accusing Meghan of taking the kids to California without his consent. Meghan strongly denied his allegation.

Meghan then blasted Jim’s child support payments on social media, telling a fan: “Girl I have a career thank you very much! That child support is not buying me gold and baubles — it barely pays for groceries for my tribe!”

Honig told us at the time, “Jim pays every single bill for both of her homes, all the medical bills and practically every other expense related to the kids and the houses. Jim continually goes above and beyond what he is required to do. Meghan’s comments are an insult to all the single mothers who are genuinely struggling financially and working multiple jobs to make ends meet.”

While Meghan and Jim have moved on romantically — Meghan is dating Christian Schauf and Jim is dating Kortnie O’Connor — it seems that they won’t be able to move on legally for quite some time.
