JOHNNY DEPP is the choice of a certain rock star to play him in a biopic.

The Jack Sparrow star is something of a chameleon when it comes to his big-screen roles. And now rock star Alice Cooper wants his fellow Hollywood Vampires band member to play him in a biopic of his life. The 72-year-old chose Johnny Depp during a recent interview.

Speaking with Yahoo, Cooper said: “If Johnny Depp were just better looking, he could play me…

“Johnny would be the best guy to play me, because he really likes to take the characters that nobody else wants to play.

“And he loves prosthetics, he would get my nose in there, and the whole thing like that.

“He knows me well enough now where he could imitate me pretty well, I’m pretty sure.”

On the idea of a biopic about his life, Cooper said: “I hope it’s not one of those ones where you have to die first.

“But, usually, it’s going to happen with bands that were extremely commercially successful.

“Whereas Alice was successful and we sold a lot of records, but I did not appeal to everybody.

“I was definitely on the darker side, and I think that would make a great movie, myself.”

Cooper formed Hollywood Vampires with Depp and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry in 2015.

The supergroup honours the music of rock stars who died from excess during the 1970s.

The Hollywood Vampires were originally a celebrity drinking club which Cooper was president of in that period.

It included Beatles John Lennon and Ringo Starr and The Who drummer Keith Moon.
