On Tuesday, the 34-year-old model and cookbook author was outed for making some particularly extravagant purchases — but with the best of intentions.

“One time I saw you at barneys and you bought a Celine bag so you wouldn’t feel guilty about asking to use the bathroom,” a fan tweeted at the social media superstar. “I knew I loved you before but that solidified it.”

“Wowowowow anyone that knows me knows this is very true all too often,” Teigen responded — and she wasn’t joking.

A friend of the star’s continued the conversation on Instagram: “Sort of like that time you bought like 5 wedding dresses you knew you would never actually wear because you felt guilty about ‘just trying on dresses’ which is precisely the point of TRYING ON wedding dresses I love you,” she wrote in a DM.

Teigen shared the message in her Stories, along with her reply: “THOSE WENT TO GREAT HOMES.”

Incidentally, Teigen did seem to battle a bit of indecision on her wedding day to John Legend in 2013, and wound up wearing a total of three different Vera Wang gowns: a full-skirted ballgown for the ceremony, a sexier mermaid silhouette for dinner and a deep red trumpet dress for the reception.

“Every time I went in [to Vera Wang] for a fitting, I couldn’t stop getting one,” she told E! News at the time. “It’s just too pretty.”
