John Krasinski had an emotional end to his “Some Good News” series, which he launched from home during quarantine to shine a line on positivity.

“Well, on a very personal note, I can tell you that I will never be able to properly articulate just how much this show has meant to me and what a tremendous honor it has been to share in all of it with you,” he said in the final episode on Sunday.

“Because, the truth is, I have been so blown away by the messages I have received saying how joyful this show makes you, how uplifted and inspired you all can be, but I assure you, all the pleasure and all the inspiration has been mine.”

“The Office” star, getting choked up, continued, “I told you from the very first episode, I only deliver the good news. You are the good news. And that’s why every single week if you can look through the goofy guy wearing half a suit, you’d see what resilience really looks like. What unbroken really means. And through witnessing every simple act of kindness and generosity, you would see what the true definition of good really is.”

Krasinski, 40, then ran a montage of essential workers, graduates, and people who shared in special moments such as an engagement amid the coronavirus pandemic. Many were holding signs with the “Some Good News” logo.

“And that will do it,” he concluded. “For this episode of ‘SGN,’ I’m John Krasinski no longer needing to remind you that no matter how hard things get, there is always good in the world. Thank you all for making this show so very special. We will see you again.”

Krasinski also shared on Instagram why the finale was so special to him. He said, “Episode 8 of @somegoodnews has to be my favorite because it celebrates the truth of what this show has always been. Never mine. Always yours! There IS and ALWAYS WILL BE… good in the world!”

He also added in a separate post on Monday that he was “still reeling from the high flying emotions of last night’s episode of @somegoodnews!” “Cannot thank you all enough!” Krasinski wrote. “Even though the show has taken a break… Good news never does!”

“Some Good News” was created in March at the start of quarantine. In less three months, the show earned nearly 1 million followers on Instagram and 2.54 million subscribers on YouTube with each video getting 3 million to 17 million views.
