Tom Brady wants no part of Eli Manning, even on the golf course

With two Super Bowls each and a combined 18 Pro Bowls between them, Eli Manning has at least one leg up on his brother Peyton. He strikes fear in the heart of Tom Brady.

Peyton Manning and Brady are set to face off on the golf course alongside Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson on May 24 for “The Match: Champions for Charity,” so Brady went on the Stupodity podcast Tuesday and was asked if he ever got tired of beating Peyton Manning, against whom he holds an 11-6 edge in head-to-head matchups.

“No, you kidding me? Eli’s the one that I’m actually happy I’m not playing,” Brady said.

While Eli Manning never achieved the same personal accolades as Brady, Eli’s Giants bested the G.O.A.T. in the Super Bowl twice, including a win in 2008 that robbed Brady’s Patriots of the first perfect NFL season since 1972.

But on the golf course Brady is an underdog against either brother, with Peyton finishing ninth with Luke Donald and Eli just missing the cut with Kevin Chappell at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February. If he hopes to top the formidable team of Peyton and Tiger Woods, he may have to channel his inner Eli.
