Dakota Johnson has learned to accept into her depression.

“I’ve struggled with depression since I was young — since I was 15 or 14,” she told Marie Claire’s summer 2020 issue. “That was when, with the help of professionals, I was like, ‘Oh, this is a thing I can fall into.’ But I’ve learned to find it beautiful because I feel the world.”

Though she struggles, the 30-year-old “High Note” actress doesn’t let it affect her everyday life or her relationships, including with boyfriend Chris Martin.

“I guess I have a lot of complexities, but they don’t pour out of me,” she explained. “I don’t make it anyone else’s problem.”

Johnson and the Coldplay frontman, 43, have been dating since 2017.

Though normally she stars in front of the camera, she made her directorial debut with the band’s music video for “Cry Cry Cry.”

“I wrote the story and pitched it to the band like every other director did, and they chose mine — not because they’re partial to me at all,” she noted in the interview.
