Former “Good Morning America” correspondent and “Dr. Oz” contributor Mara Schiavocampo says that regular orgasms give her confidence.

“I have come to feel that there are certain things that adult humans really need to be their best selves,” she said in an upcoming episode of her new podcast, “The Trend Reporter With Mara,” “And I believe that regular orgasms are part of that. I see it in my life.”

Schiavocampo described the benefits as being like a treat. “Like, if you’ve just had an ice cream or you bought a new lipstick. [I feel like] I’ve done something good for myself today. I’m really, really connected to my body, to the physical self and what I’m feeling … It’s like nature’s glass of wine … That has been my experience and that’s when I started to realize this should not be optional in my life. This should be consistent and regular and I need to prioritize it,” she said.

Schiavocampo’s revelation was part of a conversation about sex in quarantine with celeb doula Latham Thomas. Schiavocampo added, “My husband and I have been using this quarantine time very well. It’s the one thing that afterwards I’m like, ‘Ok. I feel better.’”
