Miley Cyrus is relying on technology to stay in touch with family members while isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“My mom and I pretty much FaceTime from the minute I’m awake until I’m asleep,” she recently told WSJ. magazine. “I love that she has nothing to do; so she has to just sit with me every moment, which is like the good old days!”

Admitting that this is the longest she’s ever gone without seeing her mother, Tish Cyrus, and dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, the 27-year-old revealed she had convince her dad to video chat.

“My dad had two BlackBerrys: He said two BlackBerrys equal an iPhone, which is not true,” she said, “So we mailed my dad an iPhone that was already set up that only has one button, which is FaceTime, on the homescreen.”

Miley is looking forward to being able to see her parents again after quarantine is over.

“The first thing I want to do is definitely hug my mom and dad when I get the green light that it’s safe,” she said. “Right now, my mom won’t get anywhere near me.”

The “Malibu” singer also shared that she, unfortunately, hasn’t been able to communicate much with her grandma because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

“My mom’s mom is still with us. I’m so lucky, and we want to keep it that way, so we haven’t been able to see her,” Miley said. “She lives in senior living, so we are not able to go visit her. It’s the longest I’ve gone without seeing my mom or my grandma.”

She added that because her grandma doesn’t have Instagram, she is unable to watch Miley’s Instagram Live show, “Bright Minded.”

“My grandma runs my fan club. She is my biggest fan and she doesn’t have Instagram, so she hasn’t seen the show,” she said, joking, “I’m going to have to put this on VHS for her.”

The pop star also revealed that while “Bright Minded” has been on hiatus, the show will be returning with even more depth.

“This show has evolved so deeply from trying to provide some escapism to actually the opposite: to not escaping, to diving into deeper involvement with our community,” she said.
