But he was back home recovering a day later, his Instagram account confirmed.

Pantoliano had been strolling through his Connecticut neighborhood with family when he was struck by a Porsche that was t-boned by another vehicle, his wife, Nancy Sheppard, told TMZ.

Joey is home recovering. He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma. He is going to be dark on social media for a couple days while recovering. Thank you for all the well wishes and positive vibes. Keep them coming! We'll be reading them to him to help him get better!

The Emmy-winner, who played Ralph Cifaretto on The Sopranos, was sent flying backward, striking his head on an old wooden fence, she said.

Pantoliano had posted a video of a rainbow to his official Instagram account shortly before the incident, Sheppard told the gossip site.

“Look at that rainbow! How do you like that beauty?” Pantoliano says from behind the camera.

Pantoliano was back home offering a thumbs up while sporting a gash on the top of his head in photos posted to his account later Friday.

“Joey is home recovering,” the post read. “He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma.

He is going to be dark on social media for a couple days while recovering. Thank you for all the well wishes and positive vibes. Keep them coming! We’ll be reading them to him to help him get better!
