Fashion insider Joe Zee and husband Rob Younkers welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Vivian Magic Younkers-Zee, via surrogate in late April.
“We are Dads!!! When you think you know what love is, looking into her eyes the moment she came into this world changed all that and we couldn’t be happier, full of hopes and dreams for her,” Zee, 51, wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“Vivi is a true bright light we both need right now, and we are eternally thankful and grateful to Dr. Osuebi and all of the incredible nurses and doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota who were so kind and patient and warm in the delivery and care of our happy, healthy daughter.”
He also gave a shout out to their surrogate who resides in Minnesota, saying, “But most of all, we are so grateful to our wonderful surrogate and her family — who we are proud to call our friends — who watched over Vivi and cared for her all these months.”
Their baby girl was born on April 21, weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches.
“Vivi Magic, you are so loved.❤🌟🌈,” he wrote.

The couple revealed they were expecting a baby in March and discussed the challenges they may face with welcoming a child amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“No one is ever completely ready to be parents and if parenting is jumping constant hurdles (many of which we have already lived through), then having a baby just as this country will be peaking with Covid-19 and traveling back with her, is literally kicking it off with an Ironman Triathlon,” said at the time. “We know she will be healthy and strong and full of character and compassion and even writing this post is making us emotional right now.”
Zee and Younkers got married in October 2018.
