The Giants’ draft began with a run of offensive linemen and ended with a series of linebackers.

General manager Dave Gettleman made sure to address these positions of need. He used four of his last five picks on linebackers, finishing up with Georgia’s Tae Crowder, Mr. Irrelevant as the last pick of the seventh and final round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and 255th overall.

Crowder, an inside linebacker, became a mainstay of the Georgia defense the last two years, producing 115 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five passes defensed and 1.5 sacks.

He joins a crowded 10-man rookie class that started with his college teammate, offensive lineman Andrew Thomas, includes four linebackers and three offensive linemen. Thomas and Crowder will join two former Georgia stars, Lorenzo Carter and DeAndre Baker, with Big Blue.
