Former soccer star Hope Solo and husband Jerramy Stevens are the new parents of twins.
Solo, 38, shared the news Thursday via Twitter, revealing that she gave birth to twins Vittorio Genghis and Lozen Orianna Judith on March 4.
“What have we been doing during quarantine? Well as you can see, we’ve been incredibly busy,” she said in a clip featuring her newborns on Instagram. “Please meet Vittorio and Lozen Stevens, both born in the middle of a pandemic on March 4.”
“It has been incredibly stressful times for us,” she continued. “We’ve been out in public more than we wanted to be, but we would like to thank all the incredible nurses and the doctors who helped take care of our babies during our time in NICU.”
In December, Solo announced her pregnancy on beIN Sports’ “Weekend Winners” series.
She miscarried with twins in 2018 and suffered serious complications. “The doctor said I was hours from dying,” Solo said in an interview with Elle. “They ended up having to remove my fallopian tube.”
Solo and Stevens, a former NFL player, have been married for seven years.
