As the swanky mountain town of Aspen, Colorado deals with the fallout of the pandemic, the local Anderson Ranch Arts Center is helping the medical community there.

The center — of which Sue Hostetler, editor-in-chief of Art Basel magazine, is chair — is using its high-tech 3D printer and on-site artists to create face shields and ventilator parts. Art world heavyweights flock to the beloved 54-year-old institution every summer to see appearances by artists like Ai Weiwei, Frank Stella, the Haas brothers.

We’re told at least 400 sets of protective equipment are currently being manufactured.
