Alyssa Milano is uncomfortable with the idea of Americans purchasing excessive firearms during the current coronavirus pandemic, releasing her own PSA to discourage the masses from doing so. Actor James Woods, however, replied to the former “Charmed” star’s message with one of his own.

Milano, 47, took to Twitter Thursday to share with fans just how much gun purchases have increased compared to this time last year, tweeting, “Americans bought over 2 million firearms in March of 2020, over a million more than this time last year. We have to keep each other safe by social distancing and washing our hands and not bringing dangerous firearms into our homes. #StopTheCoronavirusGunSurge #NoRA.”

Within the attached PSA, the actress says that while she understands that uncertain times can often lead to panic, she doesn’t believe “stockpiling weapons” is the way to cope and could have “dire consequences for our own personal safety and those around us.”

“The weapons that people are buying today could end up being used in household, schools, churches, bars and on our streets in the future,” she went on. “We all have to look out for each other, so please, please, please share this video to stop the coronavirus gun surge. We can’t lose anymore lives to guns during this pandemic or after it’s over.”

Woods, 72, retweeted the clip along with his own sarcastic caption thanking Milano for reminding him to stock up.

“Thank you for the reminder,” he facetiously quipped. “When the looting starts, always be prepared. Buy more ammo!”

Others called out Milano for the PSA give that she’s previously shared she’s a gun owner herself.

“Yes. We are a two gun household,” she responded. “This isn’t new news. I believe in the 2nd Amendment. I also agree with 90% of Americans who want stricter gun laws. And I believe it should be impossible for certain people to get their hands on certain guns. Pretty logical stuff. 🤷🏻‍♀️”
