Well done, Emma!

Florence Pugh has come to the defense of her boyfriend, Zach Braff, in an Instagram video she posted Wednesday.

“In true Flo fashion,” Pugh captioned the clip, “wearing spot stickers and all. To those of you that this video applies to — please listen. Please learn. Being hateful is not trendy.”

Pugh, 24, begins by talking about her IG post for Braff’s birthday Monday (he turned 45). “Within about eight minutes of the video being posted,” Pugh explains, “I had about seventy percent of the comments hurling abuse and being horrid and, basically, bullying someone on my page.

“It is the first time in my entire ‘Instagram life’ that I have had to turn off the comments on my page,” Pugh continues. Citing the ‘toxic vibe” of the comments she adds, “I will not allow that behavior on my page,” inviting the guilty parties to unfollow her.

“The world is aching and the world is dying, and a few of you decided to bully, for no reason,” she continues forcefully, saying, “I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love. And I would never in my life, ever, ever tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not your place.”

“The abuse that you’re throwing at him, you’re throwing at me,” she says.

Pugh and Braff have been linked since October, and she’s been battling online trolls over the couple’s age gap since at least December, when she fired back against one who pointed out Braff’s age, writing simply “and yet he got it 👌🏽.”
