Every week, Schumer, 38, is joined by her friends Rachel Feinstein, Bridget Everett and Keith Robinson for “Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith” on Spotify.
“This season was pretty nuts,” Feinstein recently told Page Six. “Amy interviewed John Kerry and she interviewed him solo … He didn’t need to be bothered with us.”
She continued, “We were all doing the podcast at Amy’s beach house and the shower wasn’t really working. And I walked into the kitchen with like messed up hair, trying to get some help with the shower. Like half-dressed. And John Kerry was just standing there and I was like, ‘Oh, this is — this is not how I expected this to go down.’ To be fair, I never expected it to go down at all. But that was my only contact with him, except for Amy asking him what gets him butt hurt for me.”
At the moment, Feinstein is currently quarantining at home with her husband, Peter Brennan, an FDNY captain. The couple is preparing to welcome their first child later this year.
“I can’t wait to work [when] we can have an audience again,” she said. “I miss stand-up so much. I’m just waiting to see what happens and I don’t want to go out any sooner than we should. I want to be careful … My husband, he has to go out in all of this, so I’ll do whatever I can. I’ll do my part if it means laying still while the firemen are brave.”
She joked, “FDNY ride or die. I’m a fire wife first. Or a badge banger. I identify as a badge banger.”
And it looks like Feinstein may have some new material from her time in quarantine when she finally hits the stage again.
“I do workouts on FaceTime with my friends. I have a friend who is a trainer and she gives me FaceTime workouts and here’s how lazy I am. I still try to blow them off. I’m like, ‘I don’t know. I have a hard out.’ She’s like, ‘Where the f–k are you going?’” she laughed.
She continued, “I made a cake. This is when, you know, you’re down. I got excited to make a diabetic cake because I have gestational diabetes, woohoo! And I was like, really excited to make a diabetic cake. That’s when you know you’ve just fallen into a low.”
