Peter Weber may be living the single life post-“Bachelor,” but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t thought about changing his relationship status with former contestant Kelley Flanagan.
“Are we dating? No. Do I love spending time with her? Absolutely,” the 28-year-old pilot confessed Tuesday on fellow “Bachelor” alum Nick Viall’s “The Viall Files” podcast.
“We’re not dating,” Weber continued. “Could I see that in the future? I’m always transparent, yeah, of course. I’d be extremely lucky and very happy if that happened.”
Weber and Flanagan, 27, an attorney, fueled romance rumors in late March after they were spotted hanging out together in Chicago. Though “Bachelor in Paradise” alum Clay Harbor confirmed the two were an item, Weber said he is taking things slowly following his recent breakups from finalists Hannah Ann Sluss, 23, and Madison Prewett, 24.
“I’m the last person that needs to rush into any kind of relationship,” Weber said. “I just had an engagement that didn’t work out. I just was trying to pursue things with another woman, that didn’t work out. And that’s why right now, just taking it really, really slow.”
Weber ended his “Bachelor” season last month with a broken engagement to Sluss, who later slammed him on the show’s “After the Finale Rose” special. His brief reunion with Prewett later drew the ire of his mom Barbara, who has already planted her “Team Kelley” flag.
“Just enjoying each other’s time and company,” Weber said of Flanagan. “I’ve been very honest with her and she completely agrees, she tells me that as well. Just taking things slow. I’m not in any rush, I’ve learned my lesson and that’s the last thing I need to be doing right now. I think the world of her and could I see something in the future? I could.”
Flanagan was eliminated during Week 7 of Weber’s season. The pair met before the “Bachelor” cameras started rolling.
