The Nets were harder-hit than any other NBA team by the coronavirus, with four players testing positive, including Kevin Durant. But all are cleared and symptom-free, according to Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks.
“So far, everybody is healthy. The guys that were, that tested positive, have cleared their 14 days’ self-isolation and quarantine,” Marks said Wednesday in a conference call. “They are still practicing with social distancing like the rest of us. They are cleared like everybody, like the rest of the team and the staff right now.”
After the NBA season was suspended on March 11, the Nets had flown back to New York from California and been tested en masse. The team announced March 17 that four players had tested positive for COVID-19, and Durant publicly announced being among them.

All the Nets players and the team’s entire traveling party also went into home isolation for two weeks. That’s now finished and all have come through symptom-free, although Marks was quick to note that all are still practicing safe social distancing and the international players have stayed stateside.
“Yes, correct. The entire travel party, Nets organization right now, basketball operations department is symptom-free,” said Marks.
“I would say this is affecting a much bigger circle. I don’t know that any of us don’t know somebody who isn’t directly affected or has come down with it. That could be a family member or that could be just friends in the community or friends around the US and around the globe, so it’s definitely affecting everybody.”
The Celtics, Jazz, Pistons and Lakers have all had players who tested positive and have been declared symptom-free or virus-free in recent days.
