Aaron Carter‘s girlfriend, Melanie Ann Martin, was arrested on Sunday for felony domestic violence, the Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department tells Page Six.

A public information officer at the Lancaster Police Department confirmed the arrest took place Sunday night at 11 p.m.

Martin, 32, was released on Monday on bond — meaning an undisclosed third party agreed to be responsible for her bail — which was set at $50,000, according to online records.

A follow-up court date for her arrest has not been set. Los Angeles courts are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

According to TMZ, Carter, 32, had “visible marks on his body.” The outlet also shared photos of the alleged injuries.

The singer said Martin also allegedly told him she was pregnant before the arrest.

”I think she’s lying,” Carter said, adding that his legal team would never allow them to reconcile.

The couple became Instagram official in January, and Carter confirmed his love for Martin by getting a face tattoo of her name above his eyebrow.

On March 22, Martin captioned a video on Instagram, “All you need is love,” and tagged Carter.

Reps for Martin and Carter did not immediately return our request for comment.
