While “The View” remains one of the few daytime TV shows still broadcasting live in studio, Whoopi Goldberg co-hosted while self-quarantined at home on Wednesday as a precaution after she contracted double pneumonia last year.

After skipping Tuesday’s show for a doctor’s visit, Goldberg didn’t reveal if she was tested for COVID-19, but an insider told us the visit was because she’s “taking extra precaution after her battle with double pneumonia last year.”

Goldberg, 64, said, “I went to the doctor yesterday just to make sure and he gives me the all clear to go to work. And I’m getting ready to do it and then I start hearing these inconsistent messages from everyone… from [the New York] mayor who’s saying, ‘We’re going to be in place for now. New York is going to get locked down.’

“And then you had Governor [Andrew] Cuomo say, ‘That’s not going to happen.’ And I just felt like if I was going to really try to figure out where it was ok to come in and my brain said, ‘You now what? Until they can figure out what they’re doing, I should not go in,’ so that’s why I’m here.”

Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain continued on Wednesday to shoot the show live from its New York studio. Yet Joy Behar, 77, announced that she would be taking time off due to the coronavirus. “I’m in a higher risk group because of my age, but I’m perfectly healthy,” Behar said.

On Wednesday, former “View” host Sara Haines and ABC News legal analyst Dan Abrams filled in.

“The View” and “The Dr. Oz Show” are the two remaining daytime shows that are still in production in New York amid the pandemic. We’re told Dr. Mehmet Oz has insisted on strict measures to protect staffers at the studio, and that most guests are Skyping in.

“They’re holding briefing meetings in separate offices and doing a lot of phone conference meetings. Makeup and hair are wearing masks and gloves. They’re disinfecting the brushes and only one producer briefs him [Dr. Oz],” an insider said.
