A tractor-trailer crashes and spills alfredo sauce on a Tennessee highway

This cleanup could end up costing a lot of money.

Officials say that an 18-wheeler carrying alfredo sauce crashed on a Tennessee highway on Tuesday, spreading the creamy sauce all over the road.

At about 4:45 p.m., the truck crashed into a wall on I-55, and the mess it made shut down parts of the highway for hours, according to Memphis police and the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

Videos taken at the scene show a huge area of the northbound side of the highway covered in white sauce.

Fox 13 said that because of the crash, there was only one lane of traffic going south.

Memphis police told the outlet that one woman was taken to a nearby hospital, but her condition was not life-threatening.

Fox 13 says that cleanup crews worked into the evening to get the sauce off the road before traffic could start moving again.

After a crash on a California highway early Tuesday morning, a big rig spilled more than 300,000 tomatoes. Three people were hurt, and traffic was backed up for miles.
