Gigi Hadid welcomed her daughter with Zayn Malik in September after they reconciled earlier that year — details
Preparing for the role of a lifetime! Gigi Hadid gave an inside look at how she geared up for the birth of her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik.
On Monday, December 7, the model took to her Instagram Story to share several unseen photos taken days before her newborn’s arrival. Hadid, 25, began by posting a pic of her baby bump “the night before I went into labor.”
From there, she uploaded a mirror selfie taken “about a week before” she delivered her daughter. In that same photo, she gave the first glimpse of her little one’s adorable nursery.
“Decorating and spending time in her nursery really helped me feel prepared when I would get too in my head,” she wrote.
Hadid then shared a shot of a cozily decorated lounger and a sneak peek at her child’s crib. Additionally, she also showed off a wall filled with an abundance of children’s books, noting that “so many friends sent their favorite” stories to her.
The California native welcomed her bundle of joy with Malik, 27, in late September. After confirming her pregnancy in April, she revealed the following month that she had already been “a few months preggo” in February.
In the wake of her daughter’s arrival, Hadid said that she is “so in love” with her little one and that the newborn had “already changed our world.” Meanwhile, the former One Direction member said that he is “thankful for the life” he will have with the infant.
Hadid and Malik have been dating off and on since 2015. In October, a source told Us Weekly exclusively that the lovebirds are in a good place.
“Zayn and Gigi’s relationship is better than ever — their communication, the time they spend together,” the insider revealed. “They’ve never looked happier.”
The source added that Hadid has “really leaned into motherhood and is enjoying every second” with her child. “Gigi is a natural when it comes to mothering,” the insider said. “She’s so kind and compassionate, and it really shows in her mothering style.”
