After Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and the culmination of those wars in Avengers: Endgame, Tom Holland is facing a much different kind of conflict.

The Spider-Man actor reunites with his Marvel directors on those movies, Joe and Anthony Russo, for Cherry. Apple TV+ has just released new photos from the upcoming drama, which sees Holland playing an army medic in Iraq who returns home and, facing undiagnosed PTSD and a drug addiction, becomes a bank robber as his life spirals downward.

Along with the photos, Apple TV+ and the Russos' production company AGBO announced that Cherry will premiere in theaters on Feb. 26 and on Apple TV+ on March 12.

Describing the lead character, Joe Russo told Vanity Fair, "He travels a great distance over a 15-year period. The movie's broken up into six chapters that reflect those different periods, and each one has a different tone. It's shot with different lenses, different production design. One's got magical realism. Another chapter is absurdism. Another is horror… There's a bit of gonzo in it. It's raw in its tone. He's a character in existential crisis."

Cherry also stars Ciara Bravo, Kelli Burglund (Fosse/Verdon), Jack Reynor (Midsommar), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jeff Wahlberg (Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Michael Gandolfini (The Deuce), Kyle Harvey (The After Party), and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!).

Apple TV+ picked up Cherry as many films have relocated to streaming platforms amid the coronavirus pandemic. The movie is based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Nico Walker, and the script was co-written by Angela Russo-Otstot and Jessica Goldberg.
