Meghan King Edmonds says she tested positive for COVID-19

The former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star detailed her symptoms Sunday on Instagram.

Meghan King Edmonds announced Sunday that she tested positive for COVID-19, saying that while she’s “feeling poorly,” she is “OK.”

“I tested positive for COVID,” the former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star, 36, began on her Instagram story.

“I have been safe while traveling but I had an exchange on Tuesday where I did not protect myself and this is when I had to have been infected,” she then wrote. “I have been safe with distancing and masks since Tuesday including when I went to dinner solo and stayed distant and wore a mask at [son] Hayes’s soccer.”

Edmonds — who shares daughter Aspen, 3, and 2-year-old twin boys, Hayes and Hart, with ex Jim Edmonds — added while the kids “have been at their father’s,” Hayes “will quarantine” after a “brief (1 hour) proximity” to her.

“I have contacted everyone and will isolate for 10 days minimum per CDC guidelines. My children will have to stay with my parents as they cannot stay at my house while I’m sick,” Edmonds said.

The Bravo alum said while she got tested “mainly due to extreme lethargy,” she knew she was positive.

“I don’t have a fever. I do have extreme exhaustion, sneezing, a mild cough, and diarrhea,” Edmonds detailed. “I think I’m losing my sense of smell.”

Edmonds also noted that none of her loved ones “are infected or have any symptoms.”

Later in the day Sunday, Edmonds — who split from husband Jim in October 2019 — answered questions from fans.

When asked by a fan “Why didn’t you stay home knowing covid was getting worse?” she said: “Let me make myself very, very clear. The millisecond I thought I could have something other than a cold I went and got tested. I would NEVER go out in public whilst even believing in the slightest I could have Covid.”

Edmonds’ diagnosis comes seven months after her estranged husband tested positive for the coronavirus.

She has been dating Christian Schauf since March.
