The 2020 VMAs will celebrate the year’s best music videos Sunday on MTV — just not in the manner they’re used to. Originally set for a return to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the normally in-person celebration was derailed by COVID-19 concerns and instead revealed winners and broadcast a bevy of outdoor performances from various secret locations around NYC as an “homage to the incredible resiliency of New York.”

The show — hosted by actress and singer Keke Palmer — lined up a full roster of entertainers, including Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, BTS, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus and Maluma. Previously announced singers Roddy Ricch and J Balvin pulled out of performing for unspecified reasons on Aug. 21.

Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande top the list of nominees with nine nods each, including a face-off for video of the year. The singers collaborated on the video for their dancefloor-ready single “Rain on Me” from the Mother Monster’s latest album, “Chromatica,” which was released in May.

The complete list of 2020 MTV Video Music Award winners below will be updated throughout the night:
