Tired of staring at the cat litter box during Zoom meetings? Why not just gaze upon the azure waters of the tropics instead?

At the beginning of summer, Page Six reported that the Ritz had jumped to the rescue of 1-percenter parents torn between sending their kids off to COVID-riddled camps and, well, spending the summer with their kids — by launching “private luxury camps.” Now the St. Regis has made its own bid for humanitarian relief by allowing folks to “work from home” from its five-star Punta Mita resort in Mexico.

Those toiling away in their cabanas will enjoy the full support of the resort’s “tech team” and “office supplies,” plus “workstation fiestas” to “celebrate the business week’s success.”

But what of guests worried about missing out on the Champagne rituals on which we’ve all come to so rely while working from home? Fret not. “The magic of the signature St. Regis nightly champagne sabering ritual can be reserved for private demonstrations and toasts on guests’ own private villa terraces.”

There are also options for those who have had quite enough Champagne for one pandemic. “One of the things people miss most about their normal work routines are the happy hours,” said the hotel. “To address this, the resort’s Tequila Connoisseur can customize private . . . tasting flights.”
