Peter Fonda’s widow is suing a California health center over the late actor’s 2019 death.

According to TMZ, Margaret Fonda is suing Providence Saint Joseph’s Health Center in Santa Monica and a number of its doctors for alleged negligent behavior that led to his death.

Margaret claimed that the staff failed to properly consult, diagnose and treat the “Easy Rider” star, who died of respiratory failure after battling cancer at age 79 in August 2019.

She alleged in her suit, which was obtained by the outlet, that the staff did not order the proper tests and did not properly advise him of more frequent follow-up tests.

Shortly after his passing, his sister, Jane Fonda told Page Six in a statement, “I am very sad. He was my sweet-hearted baby brother. The talker of the family. I have had beautiful alone time with him these last days. He went out laughing.”

Providence Saint Joseph’s Health Center declined to comment.
