Miley Cyrus is back, baby.
The pop star, 27, released her new song “Midnight Sky” on Friday, along with an accompanying self-directed music video that’s chock-full of disco balls and designer fashion.
Her “modern mullet” looking sleeker than ever, Cyrus kicks things off in a black Chanel bodysuit accessorized with one of the luxury label’s logo-laden chain belts and long leather David Koma gloves studded with sparkling stones.
While crawling around a mirrored room, the Grammy nominee rocks a head-to-toe look from Saint Laurent, including a yellow pussy-bow halter blouse, matching long leather gloves and black leather shorts teamed with glossy tall boots.
Next, it’s a purple sequin gown from Gucci, complete with hip-high slit and sparkling logo clasps up the bodice.
In another scene, Cyrus suits up in a crystal-encrusted houndstooth blazer and matching flared trousers by Richard Quinn.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Miley Cyrus production without a little exposed skin — and while lounging on a bed of colorful candies, the singer skips the clothes entirely, opting instead for stacks of bright baubles from Bea Bongiasca, La Manso and Chanel along with sparkling silver Gucci mules.
Inspired by female music icons including Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and Debbie Harry, according to a statement, “Midnight Sky” boasts bold, brazen lyrics in addition to all that eye candy.
“It’s been a long time since I felt this good on my own,” Cyrus sings, later adding in the chorus, “I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone, oh no, I don’t need to be loved by you.”
Seems she isn’t shedding any tears over her breakup from boyfriend Cody Simpson; after all, looking good is the best revenge.
