With people still buzzing about “WAP,” Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion aren’t the only divas working the collaboration game.
Dua Lipa is teasing her “Levitating” remix with Madonna and Missy Elliott, which will drop at noon on Thursday as her new single and video. On her Instagram account, Lipa revealed 12 dramatic, dizzying seconds from the clip, with the Grammy-winning singer striking some sexy poses.
Ironically, “Levitating” — a song from Lipa’s second album, “Future Nostalgia,” released in March — was remixed by the Blessed Madonna. The London DJ-producer collaborated with the British diva on her ready-made mixtape “Club Future Nostalgia,” a remix album that will be released on Aug. 28.
The new LP will be an entirely reworked version of “Future Nostalgia” — mixed in a continuous flow — which will take the dance-driven original to the clubs even more than it had already gone. Also joining the party is Gwen Stefani on a Mark Ronson remix of “Physical.”
Expect “Club Future Nostalgia” to include other remixers and guest artists to bring some new rules to the dance floor. Whether or not any of it gets as raunchy as Cardi and Megan got in that “WAP” video remains to be seen.
But there seem to be plenty of hot-girl-summer vibes to go around.
