Kelly Ripa’s got no time for trolls.
Continuing her streak of strong clapbacks, the “Live With Kelly and Ryan” host — who along with Ryan Seacrest has been filming the show from home since the coronavirus pandemic began — responded to an online critic who took issue with her on-air appearance.
On Monday, Ripa, 49, shared a video on Instagram teasing the morning show’s upcoming season and featuring the two TV personalities waking up, brushing their teeth and getting dressed and primped for the cameras.
But one viewer wasn’t exactly satisfied. “The only issue I have with this show (and I watch daily since I am at home nowadays) is the lack of personal grooming,” he commented. “I mean it’s a nationally televised show. And I have to get dressed for every Zoom work call so why can’t you guys.”
“I’ll bring it up at the next meeting,” Ripa quipped in response.

It’s far from the first time the former soap star has stood up to social media haters. “First of all, let me just say, to people commenting on our appearance: How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on,” she told viewers during a May episode. “It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show.”
Continued Ripa, “Certain things don’t matter anymore and my appearance is one of those things that just don’t matter.”
The TV personality has been candid about her struggles while filming “Live” during lockdown, showing off photos of her gray hair and admitting to borrowing her 19-year-old daughter Lola Consuelos’ clothes and self-tanner to get camera-ready, sans glam squad.
