Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly decamped to the Dominican Republic to work on their marriage.
After Page Six revealed last week that West’s presidential bid and recent behavior have been a “nightmare” for Kardashian, People is now reporting that the A-list couple decided to get away for some needed privacy.
“They decided to travel together so they can be away in private,” a source told People, adding that the “focus is on their marriage.”
The site also reports that Kardashian, 39, is “exhausted.”
“Between the kids, work, and dealing with Kanye’s bipolar episodes, it’s been hard for her to think clearly,” the source said of Kardashian, who has four kids with West.
Last month, West went on Twitter rants aimed at Kardashian and her famous family. During a campaign rally, he broke down in tears while saying he and Kardashian considered terminating her pregnancy with their daughter North.
A source previously told us, “Kim begged Kanye to stop his presidential thing, to stop talking about their kids at rallies. But he ignored her and instead he went ahead and hired more people . . . and tried to register in more states. He just won’t stop this presidential bulls–t.”
The “Wash Us In the Blood” artist also went on a Twitter rant accusing his wife of cheating with Meek Mill in 2018 and claiming he’s been “trying to get divorced” ever since.
Kardashian subsequently spoke out and said West has been dealing with bipolar disorder.
A source recently told Page Six, “Kim has known about Kanye’s bipolar disorder all along, and she has worked hard privately to support him and protect him and their kids. But this is the worst episode he has ever had. She fears he may have to hit rock bottom before he finally wakes up and realizes what he has done.”
Reps for the couple did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
