Seth Rogen refused to wear faux facial hair for his new film, “An American Pickle.”

“You watch ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and the worst-looking part of a movie with interdimensional warfare is Thor’s beard,” he said at a digital premiere of his HBO Max movie.

Rogen plays a present-day dude, Ben, and his Jewish ancestor, Herschel. “We shot the movie as Herschel and then I shaved. Then we doubled back and re-shot the whole movie with me as Ben,” he said.

But later, “we thought of one joke … and I grew a beard for 10 months so that we could go back and film it.”

The Simon Rich-penned film also stars Sarah Snook.
