Zooey Deschanel is “so grateful” to have met boyfriend Jonathan Scott.
On Tuesday, the former “New Girl” actress, 40, posted an Instagram tribute to the “Property Brothers” star, 42, commemorating the 1-year anniversary of their meeting.
“One year ago today I met this kind, caring, hilarious, generous, creative, nerdy, handsome and all around incredible human,” Deschanel captioned a collection of shots.
“I am so grateful for every smile, kiss, hug, snuggle, laugh, scrabble game, escape room, breakfast, lunch and dinner we share together. Even during the weirdest year for humanity I want a million billion more with you,” she continued.
Scott, who was first linked to Deschanel in September, replied, “You give me ALL the feels 😍 I love you.” He also posted a touching montage of his own.
“How time flies when you’re having the best time of your life. Who would’ve known that exactly one year ago my life would change forever,” Scott captioned the Instagram clip. “When I count my blessings, I count you twice 🥰.”
Deschanel and film producer Jacob Pechenik split last year after four years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in June. The pair shares two children: daughter Elsie Otter, 5, and son Charlie Wolf, 3.
Scott and Deschanel have grown closer over the past year, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic. In April, the HGTV personality revealed Deschanel had cut and colored his hair in quarantine.
“She did, like, a better job than most of the salons I’ve ever been to do,” Scott said at the time.
