Tony Okungbowa — known as DJ Tony during his time on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” — is standing in solidarity with his former colleagues, saying that he too felt the alleged “toxicity” of working under the host.

“Hey Guys,” Okungbowa began his Instagram post addressing the current accusations against the comedian. “I hope you are all keeping safe out there during these trying times. I have been getting calls asking me about the Ellen Degeneres Show and I would like to address the time I spent there.

“I was on air talent from 2003-2006 and from 2007 -2013,” he went on. “While I am grateful for the opportunity it afforded me, I did experience and feel the toxicity of the environment and I stand with my former colleagues in their quest to create a healthier and more inclusive workplace as the show moves forward.”

Former staffers have recently come out against the 62-year-old star, claiming she created a toxic work environment for her team and citing everything from general rudeness to higher-level employees engaging in sexual misconduct. The allegations prompted WarnerMedia to launch an official investigation with assistance from a third-party firm.

DeGeneres has, however, found support in several Hollywood pals, including Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Hart and Katy Perry. DeGeneres’ wife, Portia de Rossi, has also made a public show of support.
